Hairspray The Musical
From Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan's popular book, from the Movie 'Hairspray' directed by the famous John Waters, Hairspray was a musical play by Marc Shaiman. The musical sings about a girl named Tracy Turnblad taking her from the 60's dancing on the dance board up to the streets reaching Baltimore to a jazzy record house.
The story goes as the desirable teenager Tracy Turnblad dreamed of dancing on a local TV dance program entitled The Corny Collins Show. It all started on the year that was, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland when Tracy won a role on the particular show. Yet she also became a celebrity for a day. As she entered showbiz, she launched a campaign to assimilate the show. Her mother, Velma Von Tussle, which also was the station manager and Council member Amber Von Tussle, planned and conspired to Take Ms. Tracy Turnblad off the said show, but sadly, they were unsuccessful. Tracy Turnbald's story continues in the world of showbiz ness.
