Chicago holds the record for the longest -running Broadway play revival on a Musical play and as of December last year, it has played an astonishing four thousand five hundred eighty eight performances. It is the eight longest running Musical play ever produced.

They also have won several awards and nominations and were even given several citations and recognitions from known award-giving bodies. Two of the great awards they have received were from the Olivier Award and the ever famous Grammy Award in which their cast recording won.
