Disney's The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid is a stage Broadway musical based from the popular Walt Disney animated film of the same title. A classic story by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, a tale of a mermaid who fell in love with a human. In the musical, Ursula is Ariel's aunt, for she is King Triton's sister. This plot was originally planned for the movie, but the plot was eventually left out.

The musical production of The Little Mermaid is produced by Disney Theatrical, book by Doug Wright, music done by Alan Menken and new lyrics from Glen Slater. The films lyrics were written by the late Howard Ashman.
