Background of the Utah Utes

The football team of Utah Utes is quite old and dates back to the year of 1892. Since 1927 they have been playing their home games at the Rice-Eccles Stadium. They once made the impressive win record of 10-3 in bowl games, which happens to be the highest percentage in the nation for teams who have been to more than 10 bowls. Till now the Utah Utes have won 23 conference championships, which include 6 titles in a row which they won from 1928 to 1933 when they were still part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. With the impressive records of the team the have failed to achieve much for almost 28 years, till they made a resurgence in the early 1990s under head coach Ron McBride.
