History of the Armed Forces Bowl

The college football scenario in America is incomplete without the mention of the Armed Forces. The Bell Helicopter organized Armed Forces Bowl is a yearly event. The game is a yearly post season college football game. The game was initiated in 2003 as part of the Fort Worth game Bowl under the sponsorship of Plains Capital Bank. In 2006 the Fort Worth based Bell Helicopter Textron were the sponsors for the game. The game was called the Alltel Wireless Bowl till the sponsorship deal with Alltel fell through.
