The turn around in he team came in 1995 when Piere Gauthier was taken in as the GM of the team. Some other players like wade redden and Yashin were also taken into the team. Jacques martin was appointed head coach. With such changes the team started the season. In the 1996-97 season the team reached the playoffs for the first time. The 1997-98 season saw the further improvement of the team. The years from 1998-2003 were the most successful years for the team.
