History of the Rangers
The New York Rangers bagged the Stanley cup in their second season. They defeated Montreal Maroons to life the championship. The team under the leadership of Bun and Bill cook defeated Toronto Maple to bag the Stanley Cup for the third time. In 1939-40 season they again won the cup with a 6-2 victory. The recent few seasons have been good for the team. In the 2005-06 season, they played a total of 82 games of which they won 44 games. The team ranked 3rd in the Atlantic division. In the 2006-07 season they played 82 games and won 42 games. They finished 3rd in the Atlantic.
