All About the Predators
The mascot of the team is gnash which is a saber-toothed cat. There are some traditions that the fans follow while playing the game. One of the fans throws a catfish on the ice when the team scores a goal. Some of the fans call themselves "The cellblock" who are reported to be the loudest crowd in the stands. This group even has a website wherein chants are taught to the fans to be chanted during the game.
In the 2001-02 season the team played 82 games out of which they won 28 games. In the next season they played 82 games where they won 27 games and ranked 4th in the division. In 2003-04 the team won 38 games out of the total of 82 games that they had played. In 2005-06 they played 82 games and bagged 49 wins. In the 2006-07 season they got 51 wins and finished 2nd in the division.
