Its 26 year agreement was signed in 1999 with the MASC. It was the first ever agreement between the private and public sector organizations. The team's performances were not so good initially on the icy ground but later the team members and the team on the whole did adapt to it. It highly increased its performances in the future. It performed its first ever best performance in the year 2000 which was the best of all the games of the season since its initial start in 1993.
Gaborik was a best player of the team who scored 30 goals, which was an ever time record for all the matches played in the year 2000. Andrew Brunette was another best player of the team who helped the team play better in several consecutive games for the team, though the team faced elimination twice. In 2003, they were again at their best with a few new players in the team. A few old were discarded and several new players were added in the team to keep its performance to the highest level in all the matches to perform.
