About the Panthers
The next couple of seasons did not go very well for the team. In 2006 there was a major trade in which Roberto Luongo and Lukas krajicek was exchanged for Bryan Allen, Alex auld and Todd Bertuzzi. This was dubbed as the worst trade in the league.
The team struck a deal again in 2007 when they took in Tomas Vokoun who belonged to the Nashville predators. The team played 82 games in the 2001-02 season out of which they won in 22 games and finished 4th in their division. In the 2002-03 season they won 24 games out of 82 games and ranked 4th in their division. In 2003-04 season they bagged 28 wins against a total of 82 games. In the 2005-06 season they got 37 wins and bagged the 4th position in the divsision. in the 2006-07 season they won 35 wins and in the recent ongoing seson they have played 37 games out of which they have won 22 games.
The current players in the team are: Craig Anderson, Tomas Vokoun, Steve montador, Magnus Johansson, Bryan Allen, Jay Bouwmeester, Branislav, Cory Murphy, Jassen cullimore, Noah Welch, Mike van, Stephen Weiss, David booth, Olli Jokinen, Gregory Campbell, Radek dvorak, Jozef stumpel, Garth Murray, Richard zednik, Ville pelton, Rostislav olesz, Anthony Stewart, Kamil kreps, Brett Mclean and Ruslan salei. The coach Roger Neilson and Bill Torey have been inducted into the hall of fame.
