Calgary Flames NHL Information

The primitive attempt of National Hockey League stayed to be highly beneficial for the team of Calgary Flames. It was named as Flames after the event of the fire in Sea at the time of American Civil War, which destroyed Atlanta, where the games were played. The initiative of the logo was taken in 1972, which helped the team build its name and be known by it. Initially the team won only 31 games during initial few years but later their success knew no bounds. Under monetary pressure cousins were once forced to sell Flames, which was later bought back and is locally owned since then.

Flames played in Olympics in 1983. They were also amongst the initial stake holders to sign for the U.S College players. In 1986 Flames lost a few matches against Montreal Canadians but later in life there has never been any such downfall in the performance and the team has always shown its best. They played against Detroit Red Wings in 2004, and had their glorious victory there too.
