About the Mighty Ducks

In 1996-97 the Anaheim Mighty Ducks played consistently well and finished fourth in its division. In the 1990-99 season the team lost in the quarter finals. In the 2003-04 season they shook the hockey fans with their convincing wins in the playoffs. They became the champions in the western conference. In the 2005-06 season the team had an overhaul. Some new players were inducted into the team including Corey Perry, Joffrey Lupul, Ryan Getzlaf and Chris Kunitz. They played 82 games out of which they managed wins in 43 games and they finished 3rd in their division. In the 2006-07 they played 82 games and won 48 of them. In the 2007-08 season the team played 60 games and won 31 games. They finished 3rd in the pacific division.

The players in the team are Jonas Hiller, Jean Sebastian Giguere, Mathieu Schneider, Sean o'donnell, Francois Beauchemin, Chris Pronger, Scott niedermayer, Joe dipenta, Kent huskins, Todd bertuzzi, Teemu selanne, Corey perry, Brandon bochenski, Chris kunitz, Ryan getzlaf, Travis moen, Doug weight, Rob Niedermayer, Boby Ryan. Jari Kurri, who played in the 1996-97 season was inducted into the hall of fame in the year 2001.
