About the Buccaneers

In 1975, the team built a small complex for their practice but was abandoned because it was too close to the airport and the noise was unbearable. In 2006, a new facility was built which was more comfortable and well furnished. Team games of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are broadcasted on TV and Radio stations in Florida. The Buccaneers have an official cheer leading team called the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their uniforms are a combination of either white or red jerseys with white or pewter pants. The red-white combination is only used minimally, and has not been used since 2002. In 2003, the Buccaneers started using a practice jersey that had orange piping. A pewter jersey was used for practice in 2004. Since they had a change in 1997, the Buccaneers haven't used the old uniform.

The team was the first team to win the Super bowl since the AFL-NFL merger and the only team in the South to win the competition after losing to another team on the opening day. In 1979 season, they were the first team to win a division title, win a play off game and host a conference game were they played. No single team that has ever lost to the Buccaneers during the regular season has been able to go on to win the Super Bowl competition. Until 2007, the Buccaneers were the only NFL team to never return a kick-off for a touchdown during a normal season.
