History of the Pro Bowl
The Pro All-Star game, later to known as the Pro Bowl, continued for the next four football seasons and the only thing that was different about the format was that members of the all-star teams were just chosen from NFL players. Due to World War II, the NFL started to organize the league with a reduced number of games, and the series was totally in abandoned by 1943.
The Pro Bowl is a game that has no overall effect on players or teams ranking in any way. It is a game that is played at the end of the regular season and is not taken too seriously by players as they are the games in the regular season. A remarkable event that happened in the Pro Bowl was in the 2004 Pro Bowl Game edition. Roy Williams hit on Todd Heap and Ed blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown in 2004. This became part of the Pro Bowl history as the only blocked punt returned for a touchdown.
