The Detroit Lions: A Brief History
The Lions uniforms have been the same since the 1930 with a few variations in the designs and colors for a limited period. The team wears silver helmets, silver pants, and blue or white jerseys. There has been a slight change in the jersey numbers and colors along with a white trim added to the logo. The shade which is used in the lion's uniform is known as' Honolulu blue". The color is inspired by the waves off the coast of Hawaii. In 2003 a black trim was added to the logo and the jerseys. The prints on the helmet were made from blue to black and a new color was added.
The Detroit Lions have won 4 pre-Super Bowl NFL Championships. However they are yet to qualify for the current day Super Bowl. The team has won only one play off in 1991.
