Radiohead Concert Information
The original five members of Radiohead met while attending the same boys-only school in Abington, Oxfordshire, England. The band was formed in 1986, with their first gig played at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford. Jonny Greenwood started out as the band's keyboardist, but soon switched to lead guitar, as well as other instruments. Other members of the band include Thorn Yorke, lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano and electronics; Ed O'Brien, guitar and backing vocals; Colin Greenwood, bass guitar and synthesizers; and Phil Selway, drums and percussions. While attending Abington school, Radiohead would rehearse each Friday at the school, which is where the original band name "On A Friday" came from.
