Jimmy Buffett is Coming to a Venue Near You!

Jimmy Buffett was born on Christmas day in 1946. Born in Mississippi and raised in Alabama, Jimmy first starting playing guitar while in college. After graduating from Auburn, Jimmy moved to Nashville and put out a few country albums to little success.

During a brief to trip to Key West in the early 1970's with fellow musician Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy was inspired to change his musical genre to "gulf and western." This new genre celebrated a laid-back, beach bum lifestyle, borrowing from many musical styles including country, rock, pop, and Caribbean music. He founded the Coral Reefer Band to back up this new musical venture. The band continues to tour with him to this day.
