Country artist Kenny Chesney was born on March 26th, 1968 in Knoxville, TN. After playing football in high school and college, Kenny traded in his helmet for a guitar and began playing the clubs and restaurants around Johnson City, TN. He also was a member of his university's bluegrass club and pledged Lambda Chi Alpha. He recorded his first album in 1989, but only had a small amount of copies made. he sold these at busking gigs. Kenny graduated from East Tennessee State University, with a degree in advertising. After graduation, he moved to Nashville, intent on making his dreams of fame come true.
