All About the Blazers

In 1994, the twenty fifth seasons, they saw many new changes, along with this being the last season they would play in the Memorial Coliseum. The changes included the new coach, P.J. Carlesimo and it would also see the loss of Clyde Drexler.

November 3rd, 1995 saw the opening of the Rose Garden and the loss of the opening game. But hope returned in 1997 with the signing of the new coach Mike Dunleavy who stayed with the team until they were beaten by the L.A. Lakers in 2001 and he was replaced by Maurice Cheeks.

The team faced some setbacks in the 2002 season due to excessive arrests by 14 of the team's players; they had problems with the court that ranged from possession of marijuana to sexual assault. The team continued to have problems and in an attempt to change the face of the team in 2004 Maurice Cheeks was replaced by Nate Mc Millian. During this period they wanted a younger team, however gaining the younger team did not bring the kind of season they were hoping for. This season was marked with an 11 and an 8 game losing streak.

In 1997 with a roster that features star players such as LeMarcus Aldridge, Steve Blake, Channing Frye and Captain Joel Przybilla, Coach Nate McMillian will most likely spend most of the time hoping this season will be the best one.
