All About the Blazers

In 1970, Harry Glickman started a new NBA team called the Portland Trailblazers. It took him approximately seven long years of building the fledgling team, until in 1977 they had their first winning season. They beat out the 76ers and went on to become the World Champions.

They continued to make a name for themselves and soon were bought by the then cofounder of Microsoft, Paul Allen in 1988. This team worked hard and in the 1990s they were voted as one of the best teams in the Pacific Division of the Western Conferences with players such as Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter winning the NBA finals in both 1990 and 1992.
