A Brief History of the Suns
Emerging in 1968, it appeared the Suns were off to a record breaking year. However, as common in new teams, the Suns ended with a 16-66 record, as Paul Silas and Connie Hawking were added in 1969. The Suns did rebound and made it to the finals; however, lost to legendary Wilt Chamberlain's power.
Beginning with the 1971-1972 season, the Suns began to lose momentum. As they began to struggle, they were once again shut out of the playoffs. Although they didn't make the playoffs, the ending record was 49-33 and claim to the distinct honor of beating the Lakers.
