About the NBA All Star Game
The coaches are chosen by how many wins they have at the end of the regular season, but a coach cannot do it in consecutive years. This is the Riley rule and is called this because of Pat Riley and his Lakers team. In the 1980's his team won so many times in a row that he was the western coach during near enough every single season during the 80's. If this should happen again then the all star is chosen from the second best team in that conference that year and so on.
The NB All Star Game is always played using the normal rules in an NBA game. It is to be noted that there are some differences compared with a normal game.
Seeing as though the players in the NBA all star game is picked by the fans, the players tend to start the game at their normal positions that they would play in their own teams.
When the players are introduced onto the court; they are greeted with music and a large amount of great fanfare; some of this will include fantastic lighting effects, particular dance music or pother music, and a fair amount of pyrotechnics as well. They will wear specially made uniforms that are different from their normal kits and they are designed especially for the all star game every year. There is usually a celebrity signer that sings the typical Star Spangled Banner before the game begins.
The NBA All Star games are always a great way to have loads of fun and watch your favorite players playing together rather than against each other.
