Brief History of the Bulls

With history that includes names like Jordan and Pippen it is hard to believe this top rated team began as an expansion. Founded in 1966 as the third NBA team for Chicago, the Bulls claimed victory when they defeated St. Louis. Although ending with bleak numbers, their position spiraled when they made the playoffs in their first year.

While the Bulls continue to make the playoffs, 1968-69 would be recognized as the first year of defeat. Although the 1969-70 season would bring a playoff victory back home; it was short lived with their struggles in defense techniques.
