Information about the Bobcats

Their opening game was played on November 4, 2004 against the Washington Wizard, it was their first loss. However two days later the team would win their first game as a franchise against the Orlando Magic. On December 14, 2004 the team treated their fans to a great victory against the old Charlotte team by beating the New Orleans Hornets in a game that ran overtime.

In 2007, the team announced that the head coach who was Bernie Bickerstaff would not be the coach for the 2007-08 seasons; he was replaced by Sam Vincent, and previously of the Dallas Mavericks would be the team's second coach. Also added to the team was Rod Higgins as the general manager and Buzz Peterson was selected as director of player personnel. Then the team started looking for more impressive players to complete their roster.

The team chose some of the big players such as Jermareo Davidson, who was previously the power forward for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Jason Richardson, who had been a member of the Golden State Warriors and the winner of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in both 2002 and 2003. They also picked up Raymond Felton, who was the two season winner of the Mr Basketball title in South Carolina, and was also named Naismith Prep Player of the Year in 2002 and was a member of the McDonald's All American team in that same Year. In 2007, the Bobcats also brought in center Nazr Mohammed, who formerly played on the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 2007-08 seasons will be the fourth season with the NBA since they started in 2004 and this season they are looking to make it to the playoffs.
