NY Mets Fans - Gear up for another season!
The New York Mets are a professional baseball team with a long history track, which dates back to 1962. The Mets are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB's National League, which won a number of Major League titles, including the World Series, NL Pennants, East Division titles and wild card berths.
The Mets appeared on field in 1962, losing their first nine games en route to a 40-120 record. In fact, their .250 winning percentage was the fourth-worst in baseball history. Throughout long major league history only the Cleveland Spiders managed to lose more games in a single 1899 season than the 1962 Mets. In 2003, that losing record was broken by the Detroit Tigers, who finished the season at 43-119.
