See the Minnesota Twins in Action!

In 1960, the team got its current name, and two years later won 92 games. In 1969, the Twins won the American League West. In 1982, the Twins had their worst season with a 60-102 record. In the 1990s things turned around and the Twins defeated the Atlanta Braves 4 games to 3 to win the nail biting 1991 World Series (which is considered by many to be the greatest of all-time).

In the minds of many, the current Minnesota Twins are an accomplished team that win their division often. They usually fall short in the playoffs, often losing in the divisional series. Could this be the year where they turn it around?

The Twins overcame the difficulties of the first two months of the season where they trailed by as many as 12.5 games, to capture their fourth American Central title in the past five seasons. A line of winning 22 of 24 games toward the end of June helped drive them into a tight race down the stretch with the Tigers. But despite not leading the division a single day during the season, the Twins walked away with the division title after winning the final game of the year.

As any other team, the Twins have their wins and losses. However, the team shows a professional level of baseball and play spectacular games from season to season.
